Every day of every season on record, scored on measured snow depth and the weather that came with it. The answer is a stretch of the season, not a marketing slogan, and you can change what counts as a good day.
Reading the record…
One day at a time. Snow already on the ground sets the day's footing. Fresh snow lifts it. Then wind, warmth and rain multiply it down, because a deep base does not rescue a day when the lifts are on hold or it is raining on the snow.
Depth is measured, weather is modelled. Depth comes from the gauges: Snowy Hydro at Spencers Creek for the NSW resorts, and Alpine Resorts Victoria for Falls Creek and Mt Hotham. Weather comes from Open-Meteo's ERA5-Land reanalysis. We do not use modelled snow depth, for the reason set out on the data page.
A week is any seven days. Windows roll across the season rather than snapping to a Sunday, so the answer is a real stretch of days. They are ranked on the average score, with the share of days that historically came in good shown alongside, because a good week should be both deep and dependable.
What it ignores. Crowds, school holidays, lift ticket prices, terrain closures, avalanche risk and snowmaking. This is natural cover and the weather over it, nothing else.
